The January Owlcrate box theme was Magical Artifacts! The book pick of the month was The Gilded Wolves by Roshani Chokshi. As always it is an exclusive edition for Owlcrate subscribers, it came with a letter from the author, and was signed by the author. Also, this month the book came with a silver luggage tag.

A new thing Owlcrate is doing this year is collectible enamel pins (instead of the collectible buttons) The pins are always inspired by the book pick for the month and will done by a different artist every month. This months pin was created by Alchemy and Ink!

Now for the bookish goodies in the box…

First up, nestled inside of a tiny little Owlcrate box, is an antler bracelet, inspired by Shadow and Bone! It was designed by Team Owlcrate and is a shiny gold. It’s very dainty and pretty, however, I don’t think it looks like an antler. To me, it’s a tree branch, which I like better anyway. Regardless, it’s super pretty and I can see myself wearing it often!

Next up is an item I’ve been saying I needed – a letter opener! It was created by Juniper and Ivy Designs, and is made of wood!

Michelle Gray and Team Owlcrate designed a pair of bookish socks for this box, featuring an all over print of the Deathly Hallows. I’m a HUGE Harry Potter nerd, and these are amazing! I wear them all the time. I love bookish socks.

Shades of Magic is a series I really want to read, and this month we have a bookish zip pouch inspired by A Darker Shade of Magic. It was designed by Stella Bookish Art!

The last item in our box is a wall tapestry by Holly Dunn Design. It’s inspired by The Golden Compass and it’s really pretty. It’s a manageable size too, I love it!
