Fairest of All: A Tale of the Wicked Queen

Fairest of All: A Tale of the Wicked Queen by Serena Valentino is the story of the evil Queen in Snow White, and how she became so evil. It’s from the Villains series, I believe there are 4 altogether. This book is great for any Disney fans, especially if you’re into the villains.

This is the story of the Queen, before she was the Queen. We get to read about her meeting the King and Falling in love, how she raised Snow White as her own daughter and even doted on her lovingly. We get to meet three very creepy characters, The Hags, sister who aid the Queen in her Magical endeavors. They are possible the creepiest part of the whole story, the way they act and finish each others sentences, it’s a little maddening.

I thought this book was a great, quick read. It’s a glimpse inside the mind of a character we all know and probably hate. Is a great companion to the original story and I plan to read the rest of this series, which follows, The Beast, Ursula, and also Maleficent!
